Google announced on April 8, 2026 the rollout in Mexico of the new version of Google Finance, a platform rebuilt around AI capabilities that is part of a global expansion to more than 100 countries.

The company explained that the update enables natural language queries about stocks and markets and to receive AI-generated comprehensive responses, accompanied by links and visualizations for deeper information. The Mexico rollout comes after prior tests and deployments in the United States and India.

Among the highlighted features are the 'Deep Search' capabilities to perform searches and automated reasoning across multiple sources, integration of market data from prediction providers (including providers like Kalshi and Polymarket), and a new module for tracking corporate results with live audio, synchronized transcripts, and AI-generated insights.

The platform also includes more advanced visualizations, such as charts with technical indicators (for example, moving averages and Japanese candlesticks), and broadens data coverage to commodities and cryptocurrencies to provide real-time signals about market movements.

Google clarified that the availability of features may vary by country and that some capabilities will roll out in the coming weeks; certain initial features require access to Labs or come with expanded limits for Google AI Pro or AI Ultra subscribers.

Industry outlets indicate that the goal of the revamped platform is to transform Google Finance from a data viewer into an integrated gateway for guided financial research, with the aim of lowering technical barriers for users and expanding access to market analysis.

Additionally, it notes that Google Finance operates as a service within Google's ecosystem and does not appear as a relevant revenue unit for Alphabet; interested users can check feature availability and details in the company's help center as the international rollout continues.
